Black Protest and the Women's Strike

Context

In October 2016 women dressed in black and walked out of work against a proposed near-total abortion ban, which was then dropped. When the Constitutional Tribunal banned abortion for foetal anomalies in October 2020, the country saw its largest protests since 1989.
