By joining, you agree to all of this. Breaking these rules leads to a warning, suspension or a permanent ban.
This is a feminist space that is open and safe for queer, trans and non-binary people, intersex people, neurodivergent and disabled people, Dalit, Bahujan and Adivasi people, religious minorities, and people of every caste, class, body and background. Disagreement is welcome. Contempt is not. You can be new to feminism and still belong here.
Argue with ideas, not with people. No harassment, threats, sexist, casteist, racist, homophobic, transphobic or ableist abuse, no hate speech, no sexual harassment, no doxxing, no targeted bullying, no spam. Do not out anyone or reveal anyone's private information. Use people's stated names and pronouns. Use content warnings for heavy topics. Anyone who breaks these rules is warned, suspended or banned.
You must be 18 or older. Create one account for yourself. Verify your email, then upload a clear photo of your face as your display image. A moderator checks the photo before your account becomes active, and we may ask for a clearer one. Accounts using someone else's photo, fake identities or a joint login are removed. Your date of birth stays private; if you opt in, only the day and month are shown.
Meet in public venues, never at a home. Share the area first and the venue only with people who reserved. Every meetup is approved by an admin before it goes live. State access details honestly (step-free, quiet space, captions). Make room for people who want to listen rather than speak, and keep cameras optional online. Report anything unsafe straight away through the complaints box.
Every event needs a reservation. Joining links for online events are emailed only on the day to people who reserved. Do not share a link or forward it. If you cannot come, cancel so someone else can have your place.
CSR events for women and children are posted only by admins, after we verify the organisation, the host, the venue and their safeguarding arrangements. As a volunteer, never be alone with a child, never photograph beneficiaries or share their names or locations, and never exchange personal contact details with them. Raise any concern with the organiser and with us straight away.
Be specific and credit your sources. Quote briefly and link to the original. Do not post long copyrighted passages. Disagree about the book, not about the reader.
Messages are off by default. If you turn them on, other members send a request first, and you choose whether to accept. Block or report anyone who makes you uncomfortable. Moderators cannot read your messages unless one is reported to them.
Welcome new members, share your reading, say thank you, and invite people who are not usually in the room. Co-hosts and co-admins in each city help us stay representative of the country.
Points reward thoughtful contribution, not popularity: reviews of substance, helpful votes from others, starting discussions, attending events and volunteering. The same action never earns twice, comment points are capped each day, and removed content loses its points. Follower count never affects your points.
Mild breaches get a warning. Repeated or serious breaches lead to temporary suspension. Threats, doxxing, hate speech, sexual harassment and fake identities lead to a permanent ban. You can appeal through the complaints box and an admin who was not involved will look again.
Pronouns on profiles, content warnings on reviews, access notes on every event, captions requested for videos, adjustable text size and visible keyboard focus. Tell us what is not working through the complaints box and we will fix it.
